Hey, there. Welcome to Road 142!

I’m Cara Crowley, a stylist and lifestyle content creator working with national and local Northern California companies and businesses while building Road 142 through content and products (coming soon!). Throughout my career over the past two decades, I’ve worked to find the beauty in the everyday. Here on this website, you’ll find fresh + easy and inspiration for everyday living. Perfection has no place here, as it just gets in the way of living. Really living. Like having your friends over for dinner while you shove all your dirty laundry under your bed because your day was full of juggling work, kids and you haven’t had a chance to do your laundry in a week kind of living. The laundry doesn’t matter, the friends over for dinner does.

Beyond being passionate about people and real life living, I am endlessly curious with the backroads and farms of Northern California and showcasing those here along with the unsung heroes, our neighbors, who day in and day out show up to farm this land to feed and provide for us throughout the year and who are the indelible part of the fabric that make up our community.
